The Croatian Cultural Association Geelong was delighted to welcome over 80 old and new faces to their ‘Christmas Extravaganza’ at AHD Geelong.
Dalmatino Head Chef Ino Kuvacic demonstrated 3 delicious courses consisting of quail, calamari and fritule. He catered for both Croatian and English speaking guests. Ino was encouraging and his instructions were easy to follow, so much so, that everyone felt they could go home and attempt these dishes for themselves.
Nicole Milinkovic presented a special Rocky Road Christmas Tree which doubled as a dessert and centre piece. A fun dessert that can be prepared and enjoyed by the family.
Christmas has been done over and over again and every year it is challenge to deck the halls or set the table differently. Therefore, it was a pleasure having Annie Crawford offer new and innovative concepts for Christmas day. She presented 3 unique and admirable centre pieces and table settings which encouraged everyone to unleash their inner creativity this Christmas.
‘Home in the Hamptons’ located on Pakington Street Geelong was generous to allow the CCA to display some intimate gift ideas this Christmas. A lovely mixed bag of cards and tags were also on display and available to purchase, designed by Jess Milinkovic.
Joyful children also added to the atmosphere of the evening. Sladana Devcic kept them entertained with colouring and crafts until an exciting appearance from Santa delivering delectable lolly bags.
The extravaganza showcased many talented individuals within our community to be exceptionally proud of. The evening portrayed a true Christmas Spirit with family, friends and the community coming together.
The Croatian Cultural Association thanks everyone who contributed to the night and would like to wish ALL a Happy and Safe Christmas and New Year.
